Trichome Chaser – Slayer [10 Regular Seeds]

Lineage: Rest in Peace (CSI:Humboldt) x Headbanger (Karma)

Slayer represents the holy trinity of old-school green weed, with OG Kush, Sour Diesel, and Chem 91 (aka Chemdog) forming the core of its genetic makeup. Expect resinous plants with distinctly strong terpene profiles ranging from earthy fuel to complex grapefruit and lime profiles. Effects vary between phenotypes, with some plants producing powerful but relaxing effects, while the more Headbanger-leaning phenotypes tend to produce uplifting social highs.

Bred in South Africa, from seeds sourced from only the most reliable breeders.

The Lineage of Slayer

The Mother: Slayer was created from a cut I hunted in a pack of Rest in Peace by CSI:Humboldt. Rest in Peace is a cross of Ghost OG and Chem 91. The cut used in this cross was strongly leaning towards Ghost OG, with a petrol and lime terpene profile.

The Father: Slayer’s paternal genes come from Karma Genetics’ Headbanger, a beloved cross of Sour Diesel (Karma’s cut) and Biker Kush. The male used in this project has been tested in other hybrids and tends to pass on a lot of incredible flavour, with long-lasting mouth coating. It tends to pass down a pillowy smoke of grapefruit and fuel.

These are regular seeds, so if you’re a fan of classic green gas, I encourage further working with this line, as there are some great expressions within the pack that are often harder to find in today’s local market.

How It Grows

Growth traits are phenotype-dependent. The Rest in Peace passes down a sturdy but stretchy OG expression with lots of density in some of the progeny, while the Headbanger type phenos tend to be lighter green, a bit more squat, and not as dense. Staking isn’t mandatory, but some plants may benefit.

When it comes to feeding, she’s quite easy to feed, but take it easy on the calmag after week 1 of flower, as some plants within this cross appear to be extra sensitive to excessive nitrogen. This is especially true for those growing in coco with frequent drybacks.

Trichome coverage was excellent across almost every plant I tested – particularly because of the genetics. You’ll get the classic old-school smoke, but with modern bag appeal (but don’t expect purps!).

How Slayer Smokes

Flavour is a highlight of this strain. The thick smoke covers the tongue in a long-lasting flavour, ranging from citrus and grapefruit to petrol and chemmy funk. The petrol-heavy phenotypes also carry a solid mouth coating, but most people who have smoked this strain find the rich lime phenos the most enjoyable. Expect flavours that last for minutes on the tongue.
